Sorarkkdi, a village with archeological significance, is in Karaikal District. It is 8 km from Karaikal.
The excavations made here include idols of Sri Thiripurantaka (60 cm) and Thiripurasungari (45 cm). These idols are now housed in Pondicherry Museum.
Among the landmarks are Sri Somanathaswamy Temple and Sri Lakshminarayana Perumal Temple.
