Skirbuchan



Positioned at a height of about 9,977 ft above sea level, Skirbuchan is a village in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 214 km from Srinagar.

Skirbuchan is encircled by Pachari in the west, Narkial in the north and Dumkhar in the south. Mulbekh Gompa and Mulbekh Chamba are at a short distance from here. It is an ideal base for the adventure enthusiasts who are on their trail from Mulbekh to the Great Himalayas.

By road, Skirbuchan can be approached from Santakhchan as well as from Kargil, which lies to the west. Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the JammuPathankot line, serves this place. The nearest airport is at Srinagar.
