Singhpuri Teerth

An Ancient Jain Temple


The Singhpuri Teerth is situated in Hiravanpur Village, Varanasi District. This temple is dedicated to the Jain god Shri Shreyanshnath Bhagwan. White and blue coloured idols of Shreyanshnath Bhagwan, one 30 cm tall and another 75 cm tall, both in Padmasana, one as Shwetambar and another as Digambar, are consecrated here.

A 103 feet high octagonal pillar, considered to be more than 2,200 years old, is present on the premises of the temple. The pillar is famous for its art work.

Singhpuri Teerth is managed by a trust named Shri Chintamani Parshwanat Jain shwetambar Panchayati Bada Mandir/Singhpuri Teerth Mahasabha.

The nearest airport and railway station are at Varanasi.
