Shri Prabhasgiri Teerth

Shri Prabhasgiri Teerth is a Jain temple situated at Prabhasgiri in the Kaushambi District of Uttar Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Shri Padmaprabh Bhagvan - the sixth tirthankar. It is about 80 km from the city of Allahabad. A red-colored idol of Shri Padmaprabh Bhagvan in the Ardh-padmasana posture is installed here. Color of the main idol keeps on changing from morning to evening. Occasionally, reddish rainfall takes place and reaches to its peak on the 13th day of Kartik Shukla and Chaitra Poornima. Every year, a fair is held on the day of Chaitra Poornima. On foot one has to climb a steep flight of 200 steps to reach this temple. The temple is managed by a trust called Shri Padmaprabhu Digambar Jain Atisay Kshetra Prabhasgiri. A dharamshala with modern facility is also available.
