Located at Lodra village in Gandhinagar District in Gujarat, Shri Balahanuman Ashram is an ideal place for meditation. Established in 1942, the Ashram comprises a temple, Shri Balahanuman Ayurved Mahavidhyalaya, Sanskrit Pathshala , Gaushala and Aushadhalaya. There is a Vari Gruh (water house) and a botanical garden.
The college offers degree course in Ayurveda. The hundred bedded hospital has a separate maternity ward and a panchakarma unit. Exhibitions on drug addiction and AIDS are conducted. Camps are organized for diagnosing and treating eye problems, dental diseases and asthma. The school imparts Sanskrit language training. Besides education, the school provides facilities including lodging and boarding free of cost. Aushadhalaya is a shop/store for ayurvedic medicines. The store conducts research and manufactures medicines.
An organization, Ayurved Vikas Mandal, was formed by the Ashram in 1963 to serve the poor.
