The Church at Shantivanam is situated at
Saccidananda Ashram in Karur District. Built in the model of traditional South Indian style temples, the entrance of the church has a gopuram where the image of
trimurti (Holy Trinity) is depicted. The inner sanctuary or 'mulasthanam' contains an inscription in Sanskrit taken from the Upanishads along with the words 'Kurios Christos' ('Lord Christ', in Greek letters) underneath it.
A domestic airport and railway station are situated at Tiruchirapalli. Local buses and private taxis are also available.
