Located near Hassan, at Shantigrama, Shantigrama Jain Temple was built during the Hoysala period in the 12th century. The temple is dedicated to Bhagvan Shantinatha, whose black idol is enshrined here. The statue 4 ft tall, is seen in the padmasana posture. In addition to Bhagvan Shantinatha, an idol of Goddess Padmavathi is seen inside the temple sanctum.
