Shaktipat, meaning spiritual awakening, is a mystical process in Hindu spirituality, where energy is believed to be infused from the spiritual master, to the aspirant. Shaktipat awakens the Kundalini power inherent in everybody. In the ancient tradition, Shaktipat was considered the highest form of spiritual initiation. Shaktipat is believed to take the aspirant to higher states of consciousness.
