Savargaon is located near Ahmednagar District’s western border, which it shares with Pune District, and is 12 km north-east of Alkuti. Anhe is the nearest settlement on the other side of the border. Ahmednagar - the district headquarters – is 50 km to the east, while Pune falls 82 km towards the south-west.
The historic Mughal edifices and Ahmednagar Fort at Ahmednagar, Seclusion Hill and Mula Dam are some tourist sites within easy access from Savargaon. Kalasubai Harischandragad Wildlife Sanctuary near Akola is a popular wildlife getaway.
Pune Lohegaon Airport and Ahmednagar Railway Station serve Savargaon.
