Sati Mar Mela, the fair in admiration of Sati Ma, is celebrated annually in Nadia District of West Bengal. It takes place at the temple of Sati Ma in Ghoshpara near the modern sub-divisional town of Kalyani.
On this occasion, Sati Ma is worshipped by the members of Kartabhaja community as a god-woman and the founder lady of their order. Kartabhaja is a sect of the Bouls of Vaishnavite faith. This nightlong fair is held on the previous night of Holi.
