Sarmera

Sarmera is situated at the extreme eastern tip of Nalanda District, close to the district's border with Patna District and Sheikhpura District.

Major towns near Sarmera are Asthanwan (17 km south-east) and Barbigha (8 km south-east.)

Nalanda, Rajgir Wildlife Sanctuary, Saptadhara and Rajgir are spots worth visiting outside the town.

Patna Airport serves this town. Nearest major railway station is Bihar Sharif Railway Station, on the Bakhtiyarpur-Tilaiya railway line.
