Lying at a height of 11,998 ft above sea level, Sando is a beautiful place in Kargil District of Jammu and Kashmir. It is 182 km from Srinagar, the state capital, and is to the east of Kargil. Sando nullah is the prime attraction.
Sando is well linked with the neighboring towns such as Korit in the west, Langtut in the north, Gachu in the east and Lumsu in the south. By road, Sando is accessible easily from Kargil.
