Situated at an altitude of about 3,667 ft above sea level, Samri is a taluk in Sarguja District of Chhattisgarh. This beautiful town is on the northern part of Chhattisgarh bordering Jharkhand. Deepadih is about 42 km to the south-west of Samri.
Neighboring towns are Kandri in the west, Jarion in the north, Mahuadanr in the east and Kusmi in the south.
Samri can be reached from Umko, Nawadih and Rehra by road.
