Rod

Rod is a rural area located at the district border of Latehar District in Jharkhand. Some of the nearby towns and villages are Sarju, Surkumi, Maromar, Katam, Mayapur, Adheo, Aksi, Chatakpur, Bardauni and Netarhat.

Mirchaiya Waterfalls, Betla National Park and the hot water spring, Tataha Pani are easily accessible from here. Garu, around 33 km west of the district headquarters town Latehar, is situated nearby.

Barwadih Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. The nearest airport is at Ranchi, which is connected with Kolkata, Patna, Lucknow and New Delhi by regular Indian Airlines flights.
