Rewan Ghat is an extension of
Assi Ghat in
Varanasi. It includes a building constructed by Lala Mishir, the royal priest in the court of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (
Punjab).
Formerly known as Mishir Ghat, Rewan Ghat is named after Maharaja Rewan, who purchased this ghat in 1879. Later the building was donated to
Banaras Hindu University.
