Rewalsar is located at an altitude of about 1360 m, 24 km from Mandi, on Mandi-Hamirpur road in Himachal Pradesh. It is the place where the spirit of Padma-samdhava (a famous teacher and tantric scholar) rests. Thousands of Buddhist pilgrims come and pay their homage. It is also a holy place for Hindus and Sikhs. The place is also famous for Tibetan monasteries, Gurdwara, temples, a lake and a mini zoo. Bhunter which is 59 km away from Mandi is the nearest airport. Jogindernagar Railway Station, 56 km from Mandi, is the nearest railhead.
