Ratnagireeswarar-Vatpokkinathar Temple is located at Ratnagiri near Kulittalai, Tiruchirapalli District. This hill temple can be accessed through a flight of 1,000 stairs. In this shrine, Lord Shiva and Goddess Haravatkeswari face each other. Sage Appar is said to have contributed pathigams in praise of the lord. The temple celebrates many festivals which include Arudra Darisanam in Margazhi (mid December - mid January), Bhrammotsavam in Chithirai (mid April - mid May) and the float festival in Pankuni (mid March - mid April).
