Ranachandi Temple



Built in 1761 by the erstwhile ruler of Dimasas, Ranachandi Temple is a unique temple carved out of a single piece stone on the bank of the Mahur, near Maibong. The thatched type of temple structure is chiseled out from 10 m high and wide monolithic rock. The temple enshrines Goddess Durga in her warrior form. It stands as a mute monument to Dimasa History.

Maibong is 47 km from Haflong. Maibang Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
