Located at Shivaji Nagar in Pune, Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) is dedicated to Ramamani Iyengar, the wife of Yogacharya B K S Iyengar. It conducts regular and advanced classes in Yoga. Besides, special classes are provided for ladies, children and individuals with medical problems.
The institute has three floors representing mind, body and soul. It is 71 ft high and is inclusive of 8 columns indicating the eight limbs (yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and Samadhi) of Ashtanga Yoga.
A library with over 8,000 titles in several languages on a range of subjects such as Philosophy, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Ayurveda, Modern Medicine and Yoga is available within the institute.
