Rajghatta is a quaint village in Bangalore Rural District. This village is an archeological site. Archaeologists have unearthed a 2000-year-old Buddhist site here. The village has got immense significance and it is the first of the kind in Karnataka or may be even in the whole of India. The cremation spots of a megalithic civilization, foundation of a prayer hall and 200 small votive stupas are found here.
Rajghatta near Doddaballapur is 25 miles north of Bangalore.
