R V S Polytechnic was established in 1984 by the R V S Educational Trust chaired by Thiru K V Kuppusamy. Located on the Dindigul-Karur Road, at a distance of 8 km from Dindigul, this was one of the early self financing polytechnics in Tamil Nadu.
The polytechnic offers diploma courses in the trades of Textile Technology, Computer Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil, Mechanical and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
