Puga



Puga is at an altitude of about 14,950 ft above sea level in the south-eastern part of Leh District, Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 21 km from Mudil. Chutak in the west, Chumatang in the north, Mahe in the east and Karzok in the south are the locales around Puga.

Located near Rupshu in Ladakh region, Puga is famous for the Tsokar Lake. Puga Valley, 22 km east of the Salt Lake Valley across the Polokonka La Pass (5,350 m), adds charm to this place. This valley is famous for butane gas and hot water springs.

Puga can be approached from Leh across the Tanglang La Pass.
