Phating Glacier is in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal. By passing the glacier one can reach the Satling Glacier. From the Phating Glacier a castellated citadel at Pt 5541, named 'The Fortress,' is visible. There is a slender rock tower, 8000m above the upper Phating Glacier, named 'The Cathedral.' Phating Glacier is one among the three glaciers associated with the Khatling Glacier.
