Pambanar

Pambanar is a small village in Idukki District of Kerala, near the National Highway 220 and around 30 km from Thekkady. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Periyar Lake, Mangala Devi Temple and Murikkady are the tourist attractions around this place. Kuttikkanam and Elappara are nearby locations. Pambanar Bungalow, a British colonial-style house surrounded by large cypresses, provides accommodation. Kottayam Railway Station serves this area. Pambanar can be accessed by local buses and taxies from Thekkady and Kuttikkanam. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport.
