The prime attraction here is Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary covering an area of about 358 sq km. It harbors residents such as sloth bear, sambhar, four-horned antelope and porcupine. Accommodation is available at forest guest houses.

Palamaneru lies on National Highway 4 and is easily accessible from Chittoor. Chittoor Railway Station is the nearest rail access.
