Osmansagar Lake

Osmansagar Lake, situated 20 km away from Hyderabad, is the main source of drinking water for the city and its counterpart, Secunderabad. This lake, noted for its scenic beauty, was formed as a result of the construction of a dam across the Musi River.

Osmansagar Lake spans over an area of 46 sq km. Nearby is the famous Sagar Mahal guest house, the summer resort of the Nizams, the erstwhile rulers of the region.
