North East Zone Cultural Center



North East Zone Cultural Center (NEZCC), one of the seven zonal cultural centers of the country, was established in 1986 with headquarters at Dimapur. It is an autonomous body under Department of Culture, Government of India. NEZCC operation areas include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.

NEZCC strives to create cultural awareness and to identify, nurture and promote vanishing folk art traditions in the rural and semi-urban areas of the north-eastern states. It also organizes cultural festivals with the state departments and non-governmental organizations.
