Nikhuti Payesh



Nikhuti Payesh is a common sweet of the Bengalis. Small elongated balls made from a dough comprising refined flour, cheese, cardamom, sodium bicarbonate and ghee is fried and kept in sugar syrup for sometime. Ghee is used for frying the balls. Nikhuti is then dipped in the milk mixture of mace and cinnamon and served.
