Narayanapura Dam




Nestled amidst beautiful gardens, Narayanapura Dam is a composite dam constructed at Narayanpur in Surpur taluk, about 120 km from Gulbarga. This is a marvelous engineering structure built across the Krishna River.

Inaugurated in 1982, Narayanapura Dam is situated at a height of about 30 m. The dam lies exactly at the merging point of the Malaprabha and the Krishna rivers. It is the major drinking water source for more than 40 villages. The Krishna River forms a famous waterfall here known as Jaladurga Falls.

The nearest airport is Hyderabad Airport.
