Namgyalma Stupa

Located in the heart of Mcleodganj, Namgyalma Stupa is a Buddhist Stupa surrounded by prayer wheels. It was constructed to commemorate the Tibetans who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Tibet.

Built according to the tradition of the third century, a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in a small chamber. All day and night, devotees turn the prayer wheels as they move around the stupa, reciting mantras.
