Mysore Pak

Mysore is synonymous with Mysore Pak, a special sweet made from the flour of chickpea, sugar, ghee, cardamoms, water and a pinch of edible camphor. The preparation of this half-moist, half crumbly cake is difficult. It is specially prepared during festive occasions. Most of south Indian functions and festivals are incomplete without Mysore Pak.
