Muttukaadu Boat House is a houseboat stationed in a lake at Muttukaadu which lies on the East Coast Road on the way to Mahabalipuram. There is a bridge across the lake offering a pleasant view of the natural beauty of the place. The boat sails in this lake. The boat rides are organized by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC). Kayaks and Canoes are also available for rent. An attractive feature of the boat house is the dinky boat popularly known as 'kaadhalar padagu' (Lover's Boat.) There is also a restaurant providing snacks.
