Museum at Sanchi




The Museum at Sanchi is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. The museum holds items discovered in the excavations of Sanchi area. The main feature of the museum is a lion crown from the Ashoka pillar. It also houses caskets, pottery, and parts of gateways, sizeable collection of utensils and other items used by monks who lived in this place.
