Murugan Temple at Thiruvidaimarudur

This Murugan temple is located at Thiruvidaimarudur, in Thanjavur District. It is about 8 km from Kumbakonam situated on the banks of the Cauvery. This Murugan Temple is located on the northern part of the Shiva temple. It was built during the Nayak period. There is a stone mandapam in the form of a car on wheels. The pillars of the temple are depicted with the twelve zodiac signs.
