Murlen is situated south of
Champhai at the Indo – Myanmar border. The whole area is uninhabited and has significant wildlife value. The
Murlen National Park, one of the best National Parks of
Mizoram, is situated here. Nearby town, Vapar is 7 km away.
Murlen is about 245 km east of
Aizawl.
