Mune Monastery is located at
Mune in
Kargil District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is around 18 km from
Ichar.
This ancient gompa, which dates back over 200 years, shows the finest example of the traditional Tibetan architecture. It is situated on the trek route to Padum and is at an altitude of about 3,900 m above sea level.
