Muchukondeswar Temple

Muchukondeswar Temple is situated at Kodumbalur village, about 42 km from Pudukottai. This temple is believed to have been constructed by Irukkuvelar, the chieftain who ruled over here during the 9th-10th century. Recently archeologists have found many inscriptions belonging to the Chola period.
