Menam Hill

Menam Hill, overlooking the Ravangla Bazaar settlement, is situated at an altitude of 10,300 ft above sea level, around 12 km uphill trek from Ravangla. Mount Kanchenjunga and its surrounding ranges loom above to dwarf the richly forested and rugged hills.

Menam Hill area is home to red panda, Himalayan black bear and many species of deer. It is possible to see the plains of Bengal spanning on a clear sunny day. The trek from Menam to Ravangla takes about 4 hours. The trekkers have the option to take the gentle trek to Borong Village or follow the more challenging trail, down to Yangang. Bhaley Dunga, a kind of rocky spur, is situated nearby.
