Maulana Azad Medical College was established in 1959. The main object of the college is to produce competent doctors, specialists and super specialists. The college houses specialized laboratories with investigative facilities. It offers under graduate courses such as M.B.B.S. and B.D.S and various post graduate courses including M.D. (Cardiology), M.Ch. (Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and M.D (Medicine). In addition to the academic programs, the college has various cultural, literacy and sports activities. Other facilities include swimming pool, gym and in-house banking.
