Metiari


Matiari, also spelt Metiari, is located on the eastern banks of the Hooghly River, in Nadia District of West Bengal. Debagram is 10 km to its north-east. Kaliganj to the north-east, Patuli to the south and Katwa to the east are the other nearby places. The town also borders with the district of Bardhaman.

Tourist options include Sonargouranga temple, (the temple with the golden statue of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu), Chandroday Temple, Roman Catholic Church, Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary, Navadvipa and Saligram.

Bethuadahari Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
