Mansar



Mansar is a small town lying on the border of Udhampur and Jammu districts of Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 40 km south of Udhampur.

Bordered by hills and covered with splendid forest, Mansar is a favorite tourist spot in the state. The prime attraction here is the Mansar Lake. Two ancient temples dedicated to Umapati Mahadev, and Narasimha and a Durga temple are other points of interest.

Mansar is easily accessible on the Udhampur – Samba Road. Jammu Tawi Railway Station served by the Northern Railways, which is on the Jammu - Pathankot line, is the convenient railway access. The nearest airport is Jammu Airport, 8 km from Jammu.
