Manipal College of Nursing was started in 1990 as part of the Kasturba Medical College with the aim of churning out qualified nurses for meeting the health needs of the country. It became an independent institution in June 1994 under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Affiliated to the Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, the college offers B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D programs in various nursing related disciplines.
