Mandaikadu Bagavathi Amman Temple

Dedicated to Bagavathi Amman, the temple is often called the Sabarimala of women. Here the deity is in the form of an anthill which is about 12 ft high and with five heads and is believed to be growing. Pujas are conducted every Tuesday and Friday in Kerala tradition. Devotees offer wooden toys, salt and pepper to the Goddess. The annual festival called Mandaikadu Kodai, falls in March and lasts for ten days.

Mandaikadu is 22 km from Nagercoil and 41 km form Kanyakumari. The nearest airport is the Trivandrum International Airport.
