Malikuth

Malikuth is a picnic spot located near Cheruthoni in Idukki District. It is about 15 km west of Vathikudy. The place is named after Mali, the young wife of tribal priest belonging to Vathikudy, who was washed away in a flood.

The main attraction of the place is the MaliKuth Waterfalls and a natural rock cave near the foothill of Malikuth. This stream is a major tributary of the Periyar River. Idukki Arch Dam and Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary are nearby places of interest.
