Malik Mughith Masjid



Situated on the eastern shore of Sagar Talab, Malik Mughith Masjid is at Mandu in the Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh. Built by Mughith al-Din Ulugh-e A’azam Humayun, it is the only building which was constructed during the reign of Muhammad Ghori. This mosque dates back to the 15th century. The beautiful Islamic calligraphy and the turquoise tiles found on the main entrance are noteworthy. Opposite to the masjid, there is a high walled building, caravanserai (merchant’s inn) where the merchants would rest.
