Affiliated to the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Maharana Pratap Engineering College is a self-financing technical institution established by Maharana Pratap Education Centre in 1999. It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college is situated in a temporary campus at Maharana Pratap Higher Secondary School, Kanpur. The institute is equipped with necessary infrastructural facilities including computer centre, well equipped laboratories, drawing hall, workshops, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls and library. Branches of study include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Enrollment is done as per the rules and regulations setup by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
