Madri



Madri, in the Mahabharata, was the second wife of Pandu, the first being Kunti. She was the sister of Salya, the king of Madra. She was the mother of Nakula and Sahadeva, her sons from the Ashwini deities. She became ‘ sati’ on the funeral pyre of her husband.
