Set at an elevation of about 6213 ft above sea level, Lachmanpur is a small settlement in Srinagar District. It is just 12 km away from the district headquarters – Srinagar. Dogarpur in the west, Wolyas Kaonar in the north, Golipur in the east and Bihinpur in the south bound Lachmanpur. Other places around Lachmanpur are Baghwanpur, Barzul, Churpur, Gogu and Gorteng. Snow-capped tall mountains make Lachmanpur a choice destination for the tourists.
Buses ply from Pulwama and Magam towards Lachmanpur.
