Abring is 4 km to the west, Linshot is 30 km in the north, Rulagung 22 km in the east and Hamiling 3 km to the south. The trekking path from Karsha passes through Kushol. Karsha Monastery and Zongkhul Monastery are some of the nearby attractions.

Kushol can be approached from Kargil as well as from Leh, by road. The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi Railway Station, which is on the Jammu – Pathankot line.
