Kurukshetra Festival is an important festival celebrated in Kurukshetra, Haryana. This religious festival coincide with Gita Jayanti (in December) that signifies the birth of Bhagavad Gita.
Deepdaan and week-long Bhagavad Gita are part of the celebrations. Various cultural events including dance and dramas are also staged. On this auspicious day, devotees take a dip in the sacred tanks of Brahma Sarovar and Sannehit Sarovar.
